EXECUTIVE TEAM

  • Sean Beddoe is the founder and President at Bow West Capital. Prior to founding BWC, Sean was a senior employee at Aragon Holdings, a $2 Billion investment firm, where he was responsible for identifying, executing and managing real estate and private equity transactions. He completed transactions upwards of $300 Million, and was responsible for asset management of a portfolio of a dozen properties valued at $400 Million located across the US. He managed all construction and rehab projects across these assets. Sean was also a member of the General Partnership in several of Aragon’s real estate private equity funds, totaling $140 Million in equity and over $700 million in value.

    Growing up in the volatile real estate industry in Calgary, Alberta, Sean has been involved in all aspects of the industry throughout his life. Sean previously worked as an analyst at Brookfield Office Properties and CBRE. Sean holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurship.

  • Peter Phelps is Partner at Bow West Capital. He brings over seven years of real estate investing experience spanning across the country.

    Peter is currently a member of the General Partnership in a real estate private equity fund totaling $50 Million in equity and $200 Million in assets under management.

    Prior to joining BWC, Peter worked with Sean at Aragon Holdings. He was a Vice President responsible for identifying, executing and managing real estate transactions. He was responsible for overseeing the asset management of half the portfolio, including the management of asset performance as well as all related construction and rehab projects. During his tenure, the company deployed nearly $300 Million in equity totaling $1.4 Billion in value. His previous experience comes from working at Pacific Coast Capital Partners (PCCP), Marshall and Stevens and Merrill Lynch.

    Peter was born and raised in Southern California. He was a member of Loyola Marymount University’s Division I men’s water polo team and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.

  • David Gutierrez is the Director of Property Management at Bow West Capital. With an extensive history in property, office and company management, he now oversees Bow West’s complete property portfolio.

    Prior to joining BWC, David worked for Uncommon Developers, Urban Blox and ABA Legacy Partners, expanding his experience for direct management oversight of commercial properties. David’s contribution has led to higher asset values, improved tenant satisfaction and increased company revenue.

    He owned and managed his own successful relocation company for over 10 years.

  • Chris Cappello is the Controller at Bow West Capital. He has over 16 years experience in limited partnership accounting, auditing and administration with an expertise in Real Estate, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Hedge Fund and Fund of Funds.

    Prior to joining BWC, Chris worked as a senior director for PartnersAdmin LLC, an alternative fund administration company, where he oversaw the Firm’s accounting and administration department.

    He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from University at Albany.

  • Antonio Rubbo brings a wealth of project and construction management to Bow West Capital. As a licensed Professional and Structural Engineer with over a decade of prior design consulting experience, Antonio has worked with some of the largest real estate developers in America and built some of LA’s most prolific projects.

    His experience exceeds 15 developments totaling more than 5.5 Million Square Feet and several billion dollars in value. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a M.S. in Structural Engineering and Mechanics of Materials from University of California, Berkeley.

  • Gregory Friedman is the Founder & President of Investwest Real Estate and serves on the investment committee. Since 2019, Investwest Real Estate has transacted over 1,200 units , creating significant value for investors to date. Affiliates of InvestWest’s most recent acquisition of an 827-unit portfolio in Tulsa and Oklahoma City purchased in November 2019, a 229-unit asset in Lawton, Oklahoma, purchased in November 2020 and a 128-unit asset in Norman, Oklahoma, purchased in May 2022. From 2009-2016, Mr. Friedman was a senior executive of Spartan Truck Hire & Logistics, one of the largest privately-held transportation and logistics companies in Southern Africa . He is also a director of Sythel Investments, a South African real estate and investments company that owns several industrial assets in South Africa.

    Gregory holds a Bachelor of Communications degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

ADVISORY BOARD

  • Clive J. Beddoe serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board at Bow West Capital. His Real Estate knowledge and expertise is vast. Since founding The Hanover Group of Companies in 1976, he has developed and managed several million square feet of office and industrial real estate throughout Canada and the US.

    His business acumen expands beyond real estate, as he is the founding shareholder and former Chairman of the Board of WestJet airlines and Chairman of the Board of SQI Diagnostics, in addition to ventures in the manufacturing and energy sectors. Mr. Beddoe served as a director of the Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), one of Canada’s largest and most diversified institutional investment managers with more than $90 billion of assets under management.

    Mr. Beddoe has been the recipient of honorary degrees from the University of Calgary and Wilfred Laurier University, and was appointed the 2010/2011 Jarislowsky Resident Fellow in Business Management at the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. In 2012, Mr. Beddoe was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame and, in 2013, he was inducted into the Calgary Business Hall of Fame.

  • Mr. Rips’ practice focuses on the representation of developers and financiers of retail shopping, multifamily housing, office development and redevelopment projects. Mr. Rips combines his extensive business management and finance background with his legal expertise to represent a wide variety of clients, including real estate investment trusts, pension funds, equity funds, private developers, lenders and others, in their endeavors as developers, owners, investors, buyers and sellers.

    Mr. Rips was recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer from 2015-2018 by the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine.

  • Mr. Croul, a real estate capital markets expert with 35 years of commercial real estate experience, has spent the last 12 years specializing in multifamily properties including 7 years leading the western region at Freddie Mac where he was responsible for over $65 Billion in multifamily capitalizations. Most recently, he was Fund Manager at Partners Capital Solutions, a private debt fund with $250MM AUM where he served on the Board of Directors, led Investment Committee and was responsible for all lending operations and investor relationships.

    Further relevant past positions include leadership roles with Orix Real Estate Capital and Manulife Financial Real Estate.

    Mr. Croul graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
